First of all, the aesthetic at Hex is amazing. Their shop shares a space with the Good Bottle Company in South End, and it’s unashamedly hipster-esque vibe is unmatched in Charlotte. The minimal menu, beautiful coffee creations, and sleek work stations make this place very Instagrammable.
The coffee is strong but delicious. I am partial to their mocha because it’s not too sweet & the perfect treat. The baristas have perfected the simple menu, so no matter what you order, you won’t be disappointed.
The only thing I wish I knew before going here is how few tables there are set up. One time I brought all of my work with me, intending to hole up for a while and enjoy the atmosphere, and there were NO tables available. Most are community-style, and there wasn’t even a corner to pull a stool up to. Because of the lack of space, I highly recommend this shop as a grab-and-go hot spot.
If you are in South End, you won’t be disappointed by grabbing your morning coffee here. Check it out and let me know what you think!
